Plastic Bag Animals

plastic_animal.jpg

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything street art related. This is a very good one.

He (or she) ties the bags to the ventilation grates above the subway lines so that when the subway rushes through underneath, the animal jumps up and springs to life. via wooster collective

Disney Bridal

Disney decides to create a brand of bridal clothing. Each line is names after a popular Disney princess Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine etc. I actually like the Ariel line even though she’s my least favorite princess. via jezebel

All Star Band Aid Shoes

I’m not really into shoes but I think this is a very good design of All Stars to look like it’s a bunch of band aids. via swissmiss

Gloomy Sunday

gloomy_sunday.jpg

This illustration by Pascal Blanchet caught my eye. There is an interesting urban legend about a song titled Gloomy Sunday aka “Hungarian suicide song” that was written in 1933 and was blamed for hundreds of suicides in the 1930s. Interesting for a song to have that kind of power.

Splash

splash.jpg

An illustration that Michael Heald did for Lightmaker. I love the piggy one.

The brief was a branding task, to create a lively and fun brand for the new mobile subscription service ‘Splash’ (which you may have seen on MTV). This was the chosen brand. Good choice Splash!! I wanted to give the brand some real mileage, so designed the character to work in the same way as some of my other character ranges, where you can simply change the skin to create a totally new character while still keeping a ‘family’ feel, keep your eye’s peeled there is a new site on the way too.

Egg Shell

franc_grom.jpg

It’s a little late for easter but if you made any easter eggs I bet they weren’t as awesome as Franc Grom’s.

The eggs that Grom creates have approximately 2,500 to 3,500 holes (he has been known to drill up to17,000 in one piece). The results are simply amazing. Who would have thought that something so delicate could be made even more fragile and precious. via momeld
